PART IV - GENERATIONAL OPERATION OF DEMONS

KEY TEXT

13TH MEMORY VERSE:

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

SCOPE

Most methods of operation of demonic influence along family lines may be classified into three main categories:

I. Disinformation

II. Desecration

III. Demonization 29

I. DISINFORMATION

“Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, yea, hath God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, ye shall not eat it, neither shall ye touch it, let ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, ye shall not die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” Genesis 3:1-6 (italics added)

A. INTRODUCTION

1. The first generational curse was primarily effected through disinformation. The devil made the woman question the grounds of her firm faith in God. After she got weakened, the devil then said to her, “ye shall not surely die,” that exact opposite of what God Himself had told them earlier on…” For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:17)

2. The devil came first to the woman when the spiritual “head” was not present. Where was Adam? What is the strategy here…divide and rule, for Jesus says:

“…Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.”

Matthew 12:25 Disinformation occurs when you are least spiritually alert (Adam was absent). Once Adam’s house or family was weakened and divided, Adam (though he had a choice) fell naturally to his wife’s appeal.

INTRODUCTION

3. The life cycle of disinformation is to:

 First: provide an alternative to God or His instructions.

 Second: convince you of some deceitful benefits.

 Third: cause your soulish mind to lust after those things.

 Fourth: cause you to execute a disobedience against God by violating His word. As long as you are under the cover of God’s protection, and living in total obedience to God, the devil can’t hurt you.

“…If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

Brother James confirms this life cycle employed by the devil to tempt our minds to violate God’s word.

INTRODUCTION

“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

James 1:13-15

4. A New Testament example of the devil’s disinformation is Matthew 4:1-11. This is a classical example of what the devil does in disinformation.

“And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God,…”

Disinformation also occurs when you are most alert (Example: Jesus after a 40-day fast.)

B. METHODS OF DISINFORMATION

1. Words The devil is always saying something negative. There are “…so many kinds of voices in the world…” I Corinthians 14:10 He came to Adam and Eve with words. He came to Jesus with words. He has come against your generation with words. All these words work contrary to the law of God, and are meant to produce disobedience.

“And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear…” Mark 4:24

“Take heed therefore how ye hear…” Luke 8:18

Words can also be heard from other channels, for example radio and television with all the pornography, sex and violence in contemporary movies. Including the new age propaganda of the Anti-Christ. Therefore, you must stand against any negative words against your generation over the years.

If you remember the curse words, you will need to stand in the gap (Ezekiel 22:30) to reverse those words in the Name of Jesus.

METHODS OF DISINFORMATION

Also apply the blood of Jesus to wash away those handwritings or words that have stood against your generation for so many years (Colossians 2:14). The Bible declares in Revelation 12:11,

“And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by word of their testimony…”

2. Lusts and Enticements This is an appeal to the emotional cravings of the flesh. It produces an irresistible desire by the human mind to have something evil and to have it now. It may run in a family line. James says that:

“… Every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin:…” James 1:14-15 (italics added)

METHODS OF DISINFORMATION

A classical example of this is Esau.

“And Esau saith to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. And Jacob said, sell me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, Behold I am at the point to die: what profit shall this birthright do to me? And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he swore unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.”

Genesis 25:30-34 Esau forever lost his birthright, even though he desired it later on with tears, he could never again inherit the blessings of the firstborn, nor of his birthright.

METHODS OF DISINFORMATION

“Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessings, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.” Hebrews 12:16-17

The Bible relates lustfulness to worldliness and carnality in I John 2:15-17:

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

METHODS OF DISINFORMATION

Lustfulness and covetousness are two inseparable twins. A generation of people or a family line may find themselves intensely lustful. They try every wit to overcome these habits and the habits forever get more compelling.

Addictive tendencies fall under this category: drug and alcohol addictions, sexual addictions, addictions to murder, (example: murderers and serial killers), child molestations, spousal abuses, food addictions and food related diseases (obesity, etc.).

That compelling desire to have something rightly or wrongly makes a person do anything to have it, even if it means taking a life. Such family lineage chains can be broken in three ways:

 Salvation in the Name of Jesus. Acts 4:12; 16:31; John 3:3-5

 Prayer of Deliverance – Acts 10:38

 Crucifixion of the flesh – Galatians 2:20; 5:16

METHODS OF DISINFORMATION

Even after deliverance, a person or a family member(s) need to deal with their flesh. Deliverance does not crucify the flesh. You have to crucify those lustful habits in the Name of Jesus by a daily yieldedness of your will, thoughts, desires and emotions to the control of the Power of the Holy Spirit.

3. Familiar Spirits (Spirits of Divination)

“And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by sooth saying. The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation.” Acts 16:16-17

METHODS OF DISINFORMATION (Continued) Familiar spirits are the chief agents of Satan used for disinformation. They operate in certain governments, homes and families, the entertainment industry and are a source of devilish permeation in virtually all areas of human endeavor, especially as relates to seeking God and His kingdom.

Vine’s Dictionary defines divination as “one of man’s attempts to know and control the future, apart from the true God.”

Familiar spirits are demonic spirits that are part of the devil’s fallen kingdom. They were here before you and I were born. Therefore, they know (by information transmission) about people, places and events without being physically told. They are not omniscient, for only God is.

Their purpose is seduction, deception, manipulation and control, to ultimately turn man against God, by disobedience and sin.

METHODS OF DISINFORMATION (Continued) They are responsible for the Antichrist information dissemination in cults, spiritist churches, secret societies, Ouija boards, tarot cards, palmistry, stargazing, fortune telling, magic, the new age movement, etc. They manifest in several ways. Let’s read about them in Deuteronomy 18:10-12:

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.”

A. Passing a son or daughter through the fire:

 Practice of child sacrifice.

 King Ahaz sacrificed his son (I Kings 16:3). His grandson, King Manasseh, sacrificed his two sons, two generations later (II Kings 21:6; II Chronicles 33:6)

 It was mainly the pagan god, Molech, that demanded this sacrifice (II Kings 23:10). Other false gods also required it (II Kings 17:31; Jeremiah 19:5).

B. Witchcraft (divination):

 Means for extracting information or guidance from a pagan god. Examples: Numbers 22:7; 23:23; Joshua 13:22

 The Bible condemns divination. Isaiah 44:25; Jeremiah 27:9; 29:8; Ezekiel 13:9

 The King of Babylon. Ezekiel 21:21-23. He consulted images and looked at the liver (Ezekiel 21:21). Reading and interpreting the livers of animals was another form of determining the will of the gods.

 All these practices were forbidden by God.

C. Soothsaying:

 “Observer of times” Deuteronomy 18:10

 Includes astrology (the reading of the stars)

 God forbids it. Deuteronomy 18:10,14; Leviticus 19:26; Isaiah 2:6; 57:3; Jeremiah 27:9; Micah 5:12

 Manasseh was guilty of this sin. II Kings 21:6; II Chronicles 33:6

D. Interpreting Omens (enchantments)

 Enchanting words or songs in whispers to interpret omens or divine them. Condemned in Deuteronomy 18:10

E. Sorcery – same as witchcraft

 Forbidden in Deuteronomy 18:10; Exodus 22:18; Nahum 3:4

F. Conjuring spells – also translated as charms.

 Sometimes rendered as enchantments.

 Involves “spell-binding”.

 Involves magic knots.

G. Consulting mediums

 The use of séances

 witchcraft by the use of mediums, Example: witch of Endor. I Samuel 28:3,9!" #$%&%'%()! The word for spiritist always appears with witch.! Root of the word in Hebrew = “to know”.

 Fortune telling or sorcery.

I. Calling up the dead (necromancy)

 Communication with the dead by familiar spirit operations.

 Condemned by the word of God.

II. Magic

 Sorcery

 Acts 8:9-25 Simon the sorcerer: Acts 13:8 Elymas the sorcerer. Magicians also practiced exorcism, (higher demons casting out the lower ones). Matthew 12:24 – The Pharisees accused Jesus of something they were used to – casting out demons (lower) by Beelzebub, the prince of demons.

 “Another New Testament word translated sorcery comes from the same Greek word as our English word, pharmacy. Quite obviously, this has to do with drugs: a more relevant and contemporary application can hardly be found” (Nelson’s Dictionary).

 Certainly the spirit by which the devil induces drug addictions has to do with this.

 Revelation 9:21; 18:23; 21:8; 22:15. The condemnations apply to those who use drugs, herbs or oils to bring on trances during which they claim to have supernatural knowledge.

4. Angel of Light

“And no marvel: for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is not a great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” II Corinthians 11:14-15 The phrase, transforming themselves here, according to the New Testament Word Study Bible means to “change the outward form or appearance of something.”

Familiar spirits chiefly operate this way by changing their outward forms or appearances even to look like humans in outward appearance so as to deceive. A perfect example is the familiar spirit that took the looks of Samuel and prophesied exactly what Samuel had said before his death. I Samuel 28:7, 12-15.

They may appear in churches, as zealots in disguise. Certain individuals are in the habit of impersonations. Satan gives a certain number of familiar spirits to each witch, wizard, cult member, etc., that faithfully serve him. Such spirits then provide the necessary information concerning person, place or event.

If they can’t, the witch or medium has to fast to seek answers from higher demons. Remember, the devil has a hierarchical government. From principalities, to powers, to the rulers of the darkness of this world and to highest of all, spiritual wickedness in high (heavenly) places. Ephesians 6:12

5. Liars and Lying Spirits

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44

6. Seducing Spirits

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” I Timothy 4:1-2

To seduce is to lead astray through whatever means including sexual means. It also means to cause to wander, to deceive, to seduce into rebellion, to be fraudulent. Familiar spirits also operate by seductions.

K. APPLICATION

Families or a person given to dreams/visions from childhood, before they get born again, may need the power of familiar spirits broken. That could possibly be evidence of a generational curse. Such individuals dream or see futuristic events that come to pass. In Bible Christianity, only the Spirit of God can give futuristic revelations through holy vessels.

The only exception being dreams and revelations to lift up Jesus or lead to salvation through His precious blood. God may allow such revelations, even if a person is not yet a believer.

L. THE CURSE PRICE

Every use of familiar spirits and all forms of demonic activity have a

“curse price” that the individual involved either pays right away or transfers to a future generation of innocent children. The reason for this is Ezekiel 28:14. The Bible says the devil has an anointing which God did not remove from him after his fall. Yet the same Bible says that this is “a cursed anointing.” Genesis 3:14

The highest type of curse is linked directly to Satan. God told him in Genesis 3:14, “…Thou art cursed above all…”. In other words, you get the devil’s kind of anointing or power and you pay a curse price that may be generational.

III. DESECRATION

A. DEFINITION

This term is applied primarily to the attempts the devil made to stop the purity of the seed of the woman from being birthed.

B. INTRODUCTION

What is meant here is that the devil knew Genesis 3:15 would be fully manifested some day and he tried to hinder it by trying to desecrate the generational line that would bring forth the Messiah. Of course, he failed woefully. The seed of the woman has restored our dominion.

The applied relevance of this is that you and I are branches of that seed, the Messiah (John 15:1-5). You might be the seed for your family or your generation to be saved and delivered and that’s why the devil has tried so much to destroy your life.

DESECRATION

Another way of looking at it is that maybe along your family line, one of your ancestors that was meant to bring the “seed of salvation: became an instrument of Satanism or occultism and consequently sowed the seed of generational sin, curses and death.

The root cause of that ‘desecrated seed’: which is disobedience to God’s word needs to be confessed and deliverance sought for a whole generation or family.

C. SONS OF GOD - EXAMPLES

“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

DESECRATION

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

Genesis 6:1-4

Many Bible teachers believe that the “sons of God” in this passage refers to fallen angels who rebelled with Satan and fell from God’s glory, especially because of the following scriptural references:

1. The expression “sons of God” is found only five times in the Old Testament and every time it is used of angels. Genesis 6:1-4; Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7; Daniel 3:25,28 calls an angel the S on of God.

2. Same translations, as the Septuagint, Moffat, and others read, Angels of God in Genesis 6:1-4.

DESECRATION

3. Jude 1:6-7

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

The Bible makes it clear that some angels are reserved in everlasting chains. Their sin was “just as” (Amplified) that committed by Sodom and Gomorrah – sexual perversion and sexual sin (See the NIV, Amplified and American Standard versions).

DESECRATION

Angels are not meant to marry nor enter into sexual relationships with man (Matthew 22:30), so they violated God’s law and begat giants in order to desecrate the purity of the seed of the woman that will restore salvation and dominion back to humanity. It is possible to comprehend this from our earlier reference to the “Angel of Light” phenomenon.

Some of the angels (also called spirits – Psalm 104:4; Hebrews 1:13-14) changed their forms to become like men and went into relationships with the daughters of men (mortals) and giants were the result. Because of that, God had to wipe out the entire human race by flood except Noah and his family.

4. II Peter 2:4

“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment:”

DESECRATION

The word of God declares here that certain angels that sinned have been cast into hell by God until the Day of Judgment. There are two classes of fallen angels:

 Those loose with Satan who will be cast down to earth during the future tribulation (Revelation 12:7-12) and;

 Those who are now bound in hell for committing fornication. II Peter 2:4; Jude 6-7 This additional sin proves why they had to be bound and are not loose with Satan today to commit atrocities around the world. These loose demons may cause unusual growth patterns or congenital malformations, etc. that run through certain families. They do this by desecration. N.B. Not all congenital malformations are demonic. 57

DESECRATION

D. WHAT TO DO

“Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? And then he will spoil his house.” Matthew 12:29

The context of this scripture is about deliverance. I believe very strongly that Jesus is saying here that whatever the

“stronghold” of the enemy in your family line, you need to bind it so the generational curse will be lifted. This stronghold or

“strong man” may be a “desecrated” ancestor, an occultic power in the family line or any familiar spirit operation along your family line. Because for every dealing with the devil, there is a “curse price.”

Praise God for the Power in the Name of Jesus. We have our victory in His Mighty Name!

III. DEMONIZATION

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.” I Peter 5:8 (italics added)

A. DEFINITION

When Satan and his cohort succeed in totally taking over the lives of a generation of family members, committing their will to Satan worship.

B. INTRODUCTION

Satan seeks different generations to demonize or totally possess. In this way, there are whole families committed for generations unto occultism or demonism or other vices and philosophies of Satan worship. He does this mainly by seeking a point of contact in each offspring.

And since there is a “curse price” to be paid, the ultimate being death, the devil then allows a transference of a

curse unto a future generation of unsaved family members, when such points of contact cannot pay or are unwilling to pay the

“curse price”.

C. BODIES TO OPERATE

The principle of demonization is to get bodies to operate through. These bodies can be animate or human. The devil uses animals as well as humans to manifest his wickedness. No wonder then that in confessions of several witches, that have been delivered, they have spoken about changing to different animal forms so as to escape notice.

At the point in which the demoniac of Gadara was being delivered (Mark 5:12-14), the demons spoke through the victim’s vocal chords asking for permission from Jesus in order to possess some swine (pigs, hogs). They need a body to possess or demonize in order to continue generations of transmitted wickedness. 60

DEMONIZATION

“And all the devils besought him, saying, send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.” Mark 5:12-14

The Bible records that a herd of 2,000 swine instantly got possessed of demons from this single human victim. The end result was as usual, violent death, in this instance by drowning. Demonization may manifest severally in different forms of mental illnesses and demonic activities running along family lines.

DEMONIZATION

D. WHAT TO DO

1. The soul-tie (demonic covenant in the soul realm) with the devil’s point of contact in a family needs to be broken in the Name of Jesus.

2. Demonization may also lead to spiritual spousal relationships that negate/oppose any physical marital relationships. Such will need to be broken in the Name of Jesus. Isaiah 10:27

3. Individuals who have been so sensitized and possess any physical oils, water or demonically dedicated objects may need to surrender them to be burnt during deliverance.

“Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.” Acts 19:19

DEMONIZATION

4. In more advanced cases, seek the attention of a Deliverance Minister called by God to that ministry.

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Philippians 2:9-11

E. JESUS' POWER

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

DEMONIZATION

F. PURPOSE

The purpose of the devil’s activities, especially concerning generational curses, is to make generations pay the “curse price” for disobeying God’s word – to steal, kill and destroy. He starts with trying to cause generations to disobey God, then they automatically pay the price. The following are the works of the devil along generational lines:

1. Disobedience – make man disobey and sin against God.

2. Displacement – take the place of God so as to be worshipped by man. Matthew 4:9

3. Disease – to produce diseases along generational lines, especially incurable diseases. (N.B. Not all diseases are of demonic origin). Poverty is also a "dis-ease" or a lack of ease (Again, not all poverty is demonic).

DEMONIZATION

4. Death – To produce premature deaths along family lines. Also mass deaths or genocides, suicides, homicides, etc.

5. Destruction – To lead souls into the deceitfulness of sin and reject Jesus as Savior in order to spend eternity in the destruction of hell. How does the devil produce all these? By the anointing God did not take back from him when he fell (Ezekiel 28:14) and the curse he received after he made man fall (Genesis 3:14). But, don’t you ever forget the devil is NOT all-powerful, GOD IS. The devil is NOT all-knowing, GOD IS. Satan is NOT all-present, GOD IS.

PART V - CONCLUSION

G. POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 (italics added)

CONCLUSION

Jesus is that seed of the woman that has bruised the head of the serpent. He says whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven.

“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

Take your position today on behalf of your family and generation. Stand with a righteous indignation against the forces of darkness that have hindered your blessings, prosperity and generational long life for quite some time now. Take the curse to the cross. Nail it at the feet of Jesus and receive your resurrection victory. Stand up by faith.

Bind the cause of the curse and nail it on the cross.
